Store Manager is responsible for planning and directing the day-to-day operations of the store. Manage, provide leadership to other store category managers, department managers, and store employees in carrying out their functions effectively, achieve overall sales targets and ensure great service delivery at a
minimized cost.
Responsibilities for this role include:
You are responsible for various tasks related to Store Operations. Your responsibilities include:
- Maintain the stability and reputation of the company, by ensuring that the store complies with all legislation.

Effectively manage stock levels according to company policy and make key decisions about stock
control.
- Maintain store inventory by executing purchase plans and staying in contact with vendors,
shippers, or suppliers to ensure maximum efficiency in meeting sales goals.
- Develop and follow through with new marketing strategy changes by reviewing operating and
financial statements and unit sales records in line with the store sales assets.
- Ensure that staff within the store are properly trained for their job functions and assist other
managers to always maintain productivity in other to provide outstanding customer service.
- Provide a safe and healthy store environment for employees and customers by ensuring the store
is clean and all safety guidelines are strictly adhered to.
- Work cooperatively with the category/marketing team to formulate pricing policies by reviewing
merchandising activities; determining additional needed sales; authorizing clearance sales and
studying marketing trends mostly in the retail industry.
- Ensure that store expenses do not exceed budget.
- Ensure that all Company policies are strictly adhered to by employees at the store.
- Develop and implement business strategies to attract new customers, expand store traffic, and
enhance profitability at a minimized cost.
- Deal with and manage all staffing/operational needs of the store by communicating to the
appropriate authorities and following through accordingly.
- Follow through with the category department to ensure shelves are stocked up appropriately and
products are properly displayed.
- Preparing detailed reports on buying trends, customer requirements/complaints, and profits and loss.
- Effectively carry out other official assignments as assigned.
Your profile:
To succeed on this role, you must possess the following skills and qualifications:
- BSc/BA in Business Administration, or relevant field.
- 5 years of store management experience within the Retail or FCMG industry.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Customer service-oriented with in-depth knowledge of basic business management processes
- Strong attention to detail with an analytical mindset
- Good Market knowledge and strategic planning
- Excellent, Budgeting and Marketing/sales experience
- Ability to manage time-bound projects.
- Curious self-starter and eager to learn
