Store Cashier

Overview

We're hiring a detail-oriented Store Cashier to efficiently handle transactions. A passion for customer service and skill with cash, card, and POS systems is essential to succeed in this role.

Specific Skills
    • Prior experience in a grocery or retail setting is a plus.
  • Strong math skills and familiarity with POS systems.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Responsible For
    • Greet customers and assist with inquiries about products or store layout.
  • Scan and bag grocery items quickly and accurately, ensuring proper handling of fragile or perishable goods.
  • Process payments via cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile apps.
  • Issue receipts, refunds, and change as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area.
  • Handle customer concerns or escalate issues to supervisors.
  • Monitor product codes for produce and bulk items.
  • Assist with restocking shelves and front-facing products during downtime.
  • Follow food safety and hygiene guidelines.
